What is an Edison pearl?
An Edison pearl is grown by implanting a mother-of-pearl bead into a freshwater mussel. Over several years the mollusk layers nacre (nay-ker) around that bead, growing a large, lustrous pearl. Yes - it is a genuine cultured pearl.
